《群虫竞技场》是一款动作冒险游戏。本作中，玩家将控制一只发光生物，使用身体周围圆形的灵气场在太空中搜集虫群，然后获得技能，控制虫群攻击空间中的其他生物。射击技能允许玩家将虫群射向各个方向，以消灭对手，循环技能允许玩家控制虫群在身体周围形成旋转力场，以保护自己免受其他生物的攻击。通过获取特殊的细胞，玩家控制的生物的灵气场范围会相应扩大。
