《冲绳猛汉》是由英国独立厂商Sokaika制作并发行的一款动作冒险类游戏。本作借鉴与效仿1980年代的各种经典游戏，以及大量功夫电影，比如《双截龙》、《真人快打》和日本武士电影《刺杀大将军》。　　在本作中，游戏主角“八岛宏”，因为精通各种武术，而且太过强大，所以开始探索超能力。不过，忍者组织“黑螳螂”展开了盗取主角卷轴的行动，大肆破坏冲绳岛，杀害了他的妻子，绑架了他的孩子们，我们的主角开始了他的复仇之路。　　作为欧美人开发的功夫游戏，本作非常认真，很像是精通日本文化的日本人做的游戏。开发商将本作的战斗系统打造的非常“行云流水”，主角可以躲避任何事物，包括陷阱，甚至Boss战，随着躲避提升，主角的怒气槽充满即可发动超必杀，该技能可以秒杀屏幕上的所有敌军。
